From USATF- EUGENE, Ore - Amy Yoder Bagley, Galen Rupp and Ashton Eaton thrilled their hometown crowd during the opening day of the 2009 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field.

The final event of the 2009 USATF Outdoor Visa Championship Series, the USA Outdoor Championships run from June 25-28.

Sisson_EmilyH-NON09.jpg Girls 5000 witnessed Emily Sisson of Missouri roll to victory in the 5k at the Nike Outdoor Nationals at North Carolina A&T, in Greensboro, North Carolina tonight, in 16:34.36. This was the second fastest all-time for this meet, with only Ashley Brasovan’s 16:18.91, run last year, quicker.

St. Louis Family Fitness Weekend, the crowds did not as more than twelve thousand braved rainy conditions to participate in the weekend’s races. The rain was not the only thing falling on April 19th; however as three course records came down as well. Despite the races’ wet conditions spectators were still treated to the top two finishers in the men’s half marathon going under the previous mark of 1:08.20 set in 2008 by Matthew Chesang and both the men’s and women’s marathon winners crafting new records for their respective divisions.

Celebrity 100-meter dash and sub-four-minute-mile attempt will cap off the night

SAINT LOUIS – Never are tragic accidents more shocking than when they happen to young athletes in peak physical condition. Two such athletes, Brigette Schutzman and Mike Rathmann, will be honored at Saint Louis University High School on May 23rd at a benefit track meet that will feature two hours of crowd-pleasing races, including the Fox Architects Celebrity 100 meter dash and the St. Louis Track Club Men’s Elite Mile.

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will participate, as an official charity, in the 36th Annual Hospital Hill Run to raise money for pancreatic cancer research and patient support. The event will take place on June 6, 2009 in Downtown Kansas City, starting at the Crown Center Shops on Grand Blvd, at 7:00am.
