Kevin had a tough time in 2018 in 2019, with injuries at Europeans and Worlds, but he came back, and we look forward to seeing the French superstar this season! Looking forward to seeing him in Budapest and Paris!
Mayer in five events

AUBIERE (FRA): Two-time decathlon World champion and WR holder Kevin Mayer will start at X Athletics, combined events meeting in Aubiere (WA CE Tour Silver), this weekend. He will not compete in a full hepta but five events: 60m, long jump, shot put 60m hurdles, and pole vault. But Mayer will face Simon Ehammer, who was announced earlier for full heptathlon, as are also another Swiss Finley Gaio, Italian Dario Dester, and the majority of other best French decathletes. In the women’s pentathlon, Adrianna Sulek is a late withdrawal. But with Geraldine Ruckstuhl from Switzerland, the Sweden’s Bianca Salming, Maria Huntington of Finland, and Italian Sveva Gerevini, there is still a strong line-up for elite home athletes Leonie Cambours and Solene Ndama. From French Athletics, FIDAL, and Swiss Athletics.
