03/06/2010 - AdventureMax Off-Road Team Triathlon

The Off-Road Team Triathlon is going to be Triathlon with a 'new' twist. The race will take place primarily off-road. You will race as as 2-person teams (Male - Female - Coed). This race is all about teamwork. Your team will start, race and finish together. The race will be 2-3 miles of canoeing,
12-15 miles of mountain biking (off-road and gravel road) and 3-5 miles of running. You will be given maps the day prior to the race. This is the exciting way to do triathlon. There will be no orienteering sections on the course. You WILL be required to perform very basic map navigation/reading to complete the race. It will be very clear and will not be complicated. The course will be roughly marked, but some very basic map skills will be required. The Team Triathlon will also have Passports and will collect control points along the way on each leg of the race. This race is designed to be an introduction into
adventure racing, without the specific orientation and related skills.

03/06/2010 - AdventureMax 8-Hour Adventure Race

The AdventureMax 8-Hour course is going to be a challenging and thrilling course! It will consist of mountain biking 15-30 miles, trekking/running up to 20 miles, paddling 5-10 miles, and orienteering course(s) all while using a map and compass! Teams will have up to 8-Hours to complete the course. Innsbrook Resort and the surrounding rural areas is going to be a fantastic location to introduce this Ultramax Nation 8-Hour adventure race!

Run a 5K on a chilly December day and warm up afterward with a chili lunch. Participants 21 and older will receive one free beer, additional available for a fee. Race entry forms are available at Park District facilities, online, or call 847-490-7020 to receive by mail. Pre-registration ends on Monday November 30. Registration ends 9:45am day of event. Pre-Registration fee is $29, race day fee $32

A run and walk event to benefit Achilles Track Club-Tulsa. An organization helping developmentally challenged population. The organization helps individual with mobility, through training, prosthesis, wheel chair and general mainstreaming. Food, drinks and giveaways at the start and finish. Great long sleeve t-shirt with paid entry. Madel and trophies to all finishers.

Late Registration as of 11/25/09: $23/Individual : $80/Family of 4: $10 each addtl.

1Mile Fun Run/Walk = Free, but must register.

All asked to bring 2 canned goods for families in need.

Awards Given: Top 3 Male/Female standard age group runners/walkers : Top 3 Male/Female Master Runners (40yrs+) : Top 3 Male Clydesdale Runners (200+lbs): Top 3 Female Filly Runners (145+lbs)

Race Day Registration: 7am-8am

Bring a bag of non parishable food items for the Salvation Army and enjoy a fun run around Zink Lake. We will have food and drinks for all runners after the run and a huge pile of door prizes to give away after the run. Come on out for a fun run before your Thanksgiving dinner and help us give to the Salvation Army.

Certified 5K course with 10K running two loops. Starts and finishes at the North Jefferson City pavilion. The theme of this race is to exercise before the big Thanksgiving Day meal and possibly win a pie for your effort. Fresh-baked pies are awarded to the top three finishers overall and many more are given out as door prizes.

The 6th Annual Chill Your Cheeks 5k Run and Jingle Walk will be held Saturday November 21, 2009. Chill Your Cheeks has quickly become a favorite among local runners. Runners will enjoy a challenging course beginning in Chisholm Trail Park, winding through nearby neighborhoods, before finishing in Chisholm Trail Park amid thousands of glowing Christmas lights.
